A really interesting spot, with long grass and just a few short trees. I didn't see anything else like this along the way.
Beauty Spot. It's overcast and rainy, so unfortunately the view is limited.
The Curley Maple Gap shelter, as I'm leaving southbound for the Nolichucky River
A stream on the southbound approach to the Nolichucky. The AT follows the stream for a while, and it's very dark down here.
Lots of people were here, preparing for a whitewater rafting trip.
